Educational Qualification:
1. Assistant Teacher (Primary – Urban)
Candidates must meet the following reported eligibility conditions:
- A graduation degree from a university established by law in India, or an equivalent qualification recognized by the government.
- A recognized teacher-training qualification, such as:
- BTC.
- BTC (Urdu).
- Special BTC.
- A two-year Diploma in Special Education approved by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI).
- A four-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.).
- A two-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.) recognized under the applicable NCTE regulations.
- A pass in the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) conducted by the State Government or Government of India.
BTC is currently commonly referred to as D.El.Ed.; candidates should check the notification for the exact qualification and recognition requirements.
2. Assistant Teacher (Attached Primary)
Candidates must meet the following reported conditions:
- A graduation degree from a recognized university or institution.
- BTC or D.El.Ed. from an NCTE-recognized course.
- A pass in the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) conducted by the Uttar Pradesh Government or Government of India for Classes 1 to 5.
